Bunny Hill BOM for March

At least I finished this one before month's end...almost. He just needs his necktie!

I also managed to finish the top on a table mat for the loungeroom. The fabric range is Surf & Sand designed by Michele D'Amore.


Soon I'll be setting up the machine for quilting. I hope to work on a couple of projects before then.

March WISP - another finish

Just finished in time!

This is my first attempt at a miniature quilt from a pattern by Ann Hermes. Ann makes her miniatures from vintage fabrics. You can view her work on her website.

It's pieced not foundation and yes, it was quite tricky managing all those teensy, weensy little bits. I machine quilted with a variegated thread.

Quite the *learning experience* and I would definitely like to make some more.

In the meantime, I have fallen for this quilt


It's called Enduring Elegance and is a design by Lissa Alexander. I'm definitely in a *pretty floral* phase at the moment.

I also eagerly await news that my swap partner Tracey (cherkeemom) has received her box of goodies. I know I can't wait to receive my swap from Tracey.

Tia, who is organising the Bush Fire Quilt project, has received lots of blocks, finished quilts and other bits and pieces. The team has started to put the quilts together. Catch up with the latest news on her blog.

New Patterns

I have been quite self-indulgent and bought myself some patterns. Four are from Margot Languedoc's The Pattern Basket. Margot designs lovely projects and has featured on Moda Baskeshop. I found Margot's site one day when I was pootling about on the internet. I really like her designs and will enjoy collecting fabrics for these projects.

The other two patterns are from Crabapple Hill - both with a tea theme. They even come with a cake recipe!

I'm looking forward to making them. Today I mailed a parcel to Tracey - my swap partner for the Itching 2 B Stitching Fat Quarter Swap and Gail's giveaway goodies. Can't wait for them to arrive girls!
