february

More blocks finished for the charity quilt. These five all have a cream star print backing. The next four will have a black/tan star print backing.

I was lucky that there was exactly enough to cut the backings - usually you fall short.

Binding for the basket quilt is done too. Not a bad day's sewing really. It was wet and windy so plenty of incentive to stay inside.

Did it really snow in Arizona this week?

quilted

They're ba-a-a-ack!

It's so exciting to collect your quilts from the quilter and she has done a lovely job as always.

I let her pick the designs as I was confident she would choose well. This pretty meandering floral compliments the sweet floral fabrics in this quilt.

I took these pictures in low light to highlight the quilting.

Next up is Scrap Baskets. The quilter has used a pretty bloom pattern which is a bit difficult to see but there is one just below the top left hand corner.

Now to prepare bindings and hanging sleeves for both and then I'll post pictures of the whole quilts.

How patient are you?

seams

Well, it seems (seams...get it?  Yeah...okay I need to work on my puns I know...)  as though I've finally hit upon a pressing plan that gives me a flattish centre star for these blocks.

May not be the *approved* method but it's working - at least better than the first couple of blocks.

Back to stitching!

hacked

Hi Folks

My email account has been hacked so you'll be getting some strange emails from me with links.

Please do not click on the links or your account will be hacked too.

Regrettably, this is all part and parcel of life on the internet. Some folks need to be more constructive with their time.

hundreds

Four hundred and eighteen.

By the time I finish this quilt, that's how many two inch squares will have been cut.

Seems like a lot. Best not to think about it really.
