A New Gadget

I have been playing with a new gadget. The Supreme Slider is a Teflon coated sheet with a sticky underside.

I first saw it in action on 365 Days of Free Motion Quilting Filler Designs.

It works too! The quilt slides over the sheet like a dream.

I've also made another set of blocks for our swap. Ruth and Karen's blocks will be in tomorrow's post.

It's fun deciding which blocks to send to each recipient.

Hope you had time for some stitching this weekend.

Ann

P.S. Connie - you need to contact me via email with your mailing address so that I can post your parcel to you.

  1. Love your blocks;) Sounds like a good find on that slider thing for the free motion quilting. The only thing I could wish for is a sewing machine with a longer throat space so I could do more machine quilting on bigger quilts. It gets frustrating trying to put all that bulk through that little space;)
    Happy Quilting!!

  3. Your swap blocks are great, I expecially love the ones with the pretty floral borders. This block pattern is great for scrappy quilts, everything looks great in it!

  5. I have one of those..somewhere. I'm like "Love" and seem to buy gadgets..the last one is a plexiglass table and I'm bound and determined to get back to it!

Love the blocks. Mine just need to be labeled and will go out this week too. And yes, it is fun deciding who should get which blocks! Mary

  6. ooooh nice blocks! I get the kids to choose what goes in each envelope. The Pincushion Pass button you have reminds of a basket lid I made for my school Textile exam, I made thousands of those little origami triangle thingys!! Karen xxx

  7. Oh I've always wanted to try one of those slider thingies! One day I'll pull my finger out. ;)

The blocks are lovely. I like how you've used some wattle fabric for a distinctly Aussie feel!

  15. Hi, Ann, and Everyone! My computer is still giving me fits, but is working so far this morning, but I never know for how long so I'm using this comment to let you know I'm still alive! *grin* Repair is in process! I'm really frustrated, and may have to get a repairman fired when this is all finished! More on that another time maybe; it really gets my blood pressure up! In addition, my A.C. went out yesterday! *groan!*
I have the slider too, but haven't done much quilting since I got it. I need to practice with it---maybe today, for relief from troubles? I do think the slider helps.
Ann, your blocks are great, as usual. ---"Love"
