  2. It's not my favorite either, but it's a lot better since I started setting up 2 tables in the garage and basting on them. I like it when I can do more than one at a time, too.

  3. I think the thing I like least about quilting is deciding how to quilt it, and doing the actual machine quilting myself scares me silly! I'm currently trying to get my courage up to attempt to quilt my string quilt before long. ---"Love"

  4. I am not crazy about basting either. I avoid using my knees by sitting and scooting around, but it still gets to my back. I think in 2012 I will try some of the other ways I have seen around the blogs.

  5. Fixing mistakes! No, wait, we don't make any of those! Pressing is probably my least favorite, particularly when there are a LOT of little units that make up bigger blocks and you're standing there for hours! Your quilt is looking great!

  6. Basting and quilting is my least favorite, but only because it takes so long. It's also difficult for me getting the big stuff through the sewing machine. But it is so worth it when finished. Don't your fingers get sore working with all those safety pins?

  7. I have to say basting is not at the top of my favorite things to do list. It has to be done though to get to the finished quilt. I use to actually baste with thread, then decided to give the safety pins a try. Much faster and not too hard to do! I have a center island in my kitchen that I do all my cutting and basting on. It is much easier than working on the floor.

  9. I'm with you - basting is my least favourite part of this hobby. Binding comes in a close second, except for the thrill at the very end of it!
