Injured my hand the other week. Minor but you quickly discover how much you rely on said hand when you don't have use of it.
Did give me the weekend off from house cleaning though.
So this weekend I had some catching up to do. Got the binding sewn onto my quilt and now it needs sewing down. Not such an unpleasant job when I get to sit in the sunroom on a winter's day. Except that quilts mysteriously develop five corners.
Also worked on some more of those Solomon's Temple blocks. That Simple Abundance layer cake is like the Magic Pudding - it just can't be used up! There are still usable pieces left over.
Oh you poor thing hurting your hand, glad you are able to do some sewing. Your projects are so nice.ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear about your hurt hand; hope it is better soon. Now I'm curious about a five-cornered quilt. (Another surprise???) Those blocks are very pretty. ---"Love"ReplyDelete
Sorry about the hand injury. Hope you heal up quickly! Lovely fabrics!ReplyDelete
Too bad you hurt your hand. I hope it's feeling better. Don't go back to the housecleaning too soon and cause a relapse. Sewing is much better therapy than chores :) I look forward to seeing those pretty blocks all together.ReplyDelete
Sorry about the hand-I can relate! Even if it's the non-dominant one you use it more than you think (pulling up your pants for example!) Didn't you know that fabric is like rabbits? Multiples when you aren't looking! I know you know about rabbits!ReplyDelete
I hope your hand is on the mend and you'll be back to housework in no time! Ha ha ha ha! Just kidding - I hope you're back to quilting instead! And those darn corners...I swear I had a quilt that developed seven in the time it took me to bind it, but when I layed it all out after I was done, those extra three had disappeared again...ReplyDelete
Oh no! Hand injuries are the worst. I think you need a few weeks off from housecleaning as you don't want a relapse =). A 5 corner quilt? Very curious on that one.....ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear you hurt your hand, hope it was at least doing something fun that caused the injury! Glad you are back to a little sewing. Take it easy, housework can wait!ReplyDelete
I'm sorry to hear about your hand, and I hope is much better now. Thanks for the link about the magic pudding, I did not know the story. Your blocks are gorgeous and I cant wait to see more .... But they are perhaps secret, too?ReplyDelete
