reverse

I made another Civil War block from the BOM Kelli gave me using the No-Waste method.

Sadly,  it wasn't all smooth sailing as I managed to reverse the fabrics and made these instead. You know, I'm getting rather good at stuffing up these blocks. It's a talent. Despite my error, this is a good method that doesn't require any fancy rulers.

These won't go to waste as I want to make 12 blocks for a lap quilt for my Dad who has a keen interest in the history of the American Civil War.

After that shamozzle and a cup of tea, work started on piecing the top for another baby quilt.

  3. I made a block like that a long time back and really meant to make more, then got distracted. I do really like it! I also need to try that method for geese; I have always used Eleanor Burns' rulers. Good to see you active again! ---"Love"

  4. Well...based on the photo you borrowed, they look right... Too funny! I'm glad you had enough to make them properly and have a plan for the wrong ones. The baby quilt colors are wonderful.

  6. Ah well, as long as they find a home in a quilt, the time wasn't wasted! The peek at the baby quilt progress suggests sweet and pretty. Lucky baby!

  9. I use that method for FGs all the time and like it the best. It can be confusing knowing which is the background and which is supposed to be the geese, though. I really like the fabric in the block for the baby quilt.
