pressing

A window of opportunity opened this weekend and some time to stitch presented itself.  Last weekend was spent making half square triangles (those small ones) so it was a treat to actually make a some blocks.

I'm trying to take care when pressing all these seams for a neater and less bulky finish.  I'm also trying to be as random as I can but it's a struggle to keep from co-ordinating.

Three more of these will make a large block and I'll be halfway along!

  1. I love your random blocks, Ann. It can sometimes be tricky to not co-ordinate everything, can't it.

  2. It's going to be pretty, no matter what. Your neat seams make me ashamed of myself! Hope you can show us that first large block soon. ---"Love"

  3. Very pretty fabrics and the pressing is so neat. I like scrappy but I find myself doing a more controlled scrappy. It is hard for me to let go and just pick up the next piece and stitch it in. Guess I need to feel some kind of control in what I am doing. Can't wait to see the finished block!

  4. Looking great! Just keep sewing and in no time you'll have a quilt top!
