There's Nothing New Under the Sun
I have my partner for the Pincushion Pass and I really want to make something nice for her.
After mooching about Flickr I have discovered that if you can think of it - someone has made it into a pincushion. If you doubt my claim then just type Pincushion into the search button - there are 6897 images of them.
Go on, I dare you to look through them all! I wimped out after page 180.
Perhaps I should wait until the Sydney Quilt Show in a couple of weeks in case I see kit or pattern.

Ann, I love pincushions, I will have to look at least some of the ones on flickr. I never think to go there for inspiration, but I will try it now.
ReplyDeleteI have the same dilemma. I need to make a pincushion for an exchange in July and I'm looking for a really cute (and easy) one! Is that possible? Good luck with your search. I'm hoping to hit a couple quilt shops in Idaho today! It is a lot cooler here too!!
ReplyDeleteHere's a neat idea....they make the perfect gift!

ReplyDeleteoh you are sooo right ann! but i'm still going to try to be as creative as possible with my pincushion and do something completely original. however i'm under no illusions, and it IS pretty much impossible!
ReplyDeletep.s. can't believe you got to page 180! that's alotta pincushions!
The pin cushion reminds me of the Texas Star pot holders everyone was making back in the 70's.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I'm sure you'll find something. Isn't it amazing what you can find on the internet.
