declutter

Like a lot of folks, I've jumped on the De-clutter Bandwagon.

Found this in the back of a cupboard.

This fabric is a cheater panel and I must have bought it to make a pretend quilt.

Guess I liked the colours (and the price).

I may also have had grandiose ideas about free motion quilting.

Now I plan to use it as a backing for my next scrap quilt.

So I get two quilts for the price of one!

Enjoy your weekend.

  4. Sorry; I don't know where the duplicate comment came from! I see it show it posted at 1:29 PM, BUT the clock on my computer shows 10:32 PM, which is what my TV clock shows too. What's going on? Or is that the time difference from here to there????? ---"Love"

  5. I decluttered my fabric during the summer school break. I was so good and donated three bin bags to my aunt. Last weekend I saw my great niece running around in a dress made of very familiar fabric! Much better than sitting in a box in a cupboard.

  6. That's a great idea. I once had a "cheater" quilt panel and when I quilted it in the ditch and gave it to my sister, she loved it and didn't know it wasn't pieced until I told her! I found out it wasn't a "crime" to do that!

  7. I need to declutter. Right now all I'm doing is reading a bunch of books on how to do it.

  8. What a great find, it will be wonderful on the back of a quilt. It will be perfect for a scrap quilt! I need to go through all of my things and do some de-cluttering, too! I'll let you know how that goes.

  10. "Pretend quilt"...I love the names we quilters come up with for fabrics that are printed to look like quilts. I like the colors, too, so I can see why it would draw attention. And I love the idea of using it as a quilt back. Perfect!
