Teal is the chosen colour for February 's RSC2017 Challenge. Or Aqua. Or Sea Green.
None of these colours are in my scrap bag so I've substituted light blue.
There are some wonderful blocks being made - in the right colour - and you can see them here.
The weather here has been wretched. This is what New South Wales (my state) looked like yesterday.
It actually looks like the state is on fire. Which is how felt. Especially without air-conditioning. We've been promised cooler conditions this week. Fingers crossed.
Your block looks great! Hopefully the weather cools down for you soon!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block, even if the color is wrong...use what you have - this IS A scrap challenge! And yikes about the weather- I hope it does cool off soon.

ReplyDeleteNice block choice AND color substitution!!
ReplyDeleteThe light blues are very pretty and make a great substitution for teal. Hope you can stay cool until cooler temps arrive where you live.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty blue, and all your points are perfect! Nice job! I've worked in my yard 3 days this week, and 2 of those days have been over 80 F! Remember--this is February; we are usually cold and sometimes have ice. Of course, again, this is Texas! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteThat is a great block and so pretty in the blues! Hope it's cooler for you this week. We're having crazy warm weather for Colorado in February, too!
ReplyDeleteVery nice block! Good luck getting cooler weather!
ReplyDeleteNo AC.. with those temps? I think you would find me in front of the open refrigerator. Hoping you have a break in the weather very soon. Your block is so pretty in baby blue. I picked a light blue dresden this month to work on.... no teal one in the mix.
ReplyDeleteYour block looks like ice crystals...perhaps you were hoping to get some relief from the heat? It's a beautiful block with perfectly sharp points :)
ReplyDeleteLove the light blue! Reminds me of some Christmas decorations available in the U.S. - are you thinking snow? Do hope the temps decrease for you very soon!!
ReplyDeleteI can identify with the heat because it was often very hot in Texas in the summer. We always had air conditioning unless it wasn't working. Ugh!! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLovely block, Ann. So many perfect points. I followed your link to the other ladies' blocks, all so different and all lovely. It certainly has been sweltering up there, hasn't it. Perhaps we should send some of our cool weather to you. Hope those bush fires are lessening. Summer is always a worry for fires.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful blue - I think the quilt will be wonderful rsc style
