orange

. . . is the colour Angela has chosen for the month of September in the RSC2017 challenge.

Now I don't really have a lot of orange, hardly any, in the scrap bin but I did have a selection of peachy colours.

I'm linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge here.

Made some small progress on the CW Scraps table mat. Yes, I'm still deciding on how to proceed with the big quilt. I know what I don't want and I don't want all that red.

Decisions need to be made.

  1. Re-red peachy-red...whatever you've got! It's a scrap challenge! I Still have 5 blocks of neutral to go (thanks to Emma cat, I failed to get them all done yesterday...she makes a wonderful furry wall between me and my sewing machine), but we've got a holiday weekend here, so hoping today and Monday go better. I'm wondering about the "big quilt"...

  2. I would be hard pressed to find orange in my scrap bin as well. :) Those peachy colours look pretty.

  6. Pretty, peachy orange block. As for the CW big quilt decisions, knowing what you don't want is a pretty good step towards deciding what you do want! Good luck with the pondering. In the meantime your table mat is making lovely use of your leftovers.

  7. Your peach colored block is just "peachy"; nice job on the piecing too! I love your table runner, and you know me and red; I love it! I'm trying to decide on another CW quilt pattern too; I need to use up a lot of CW fabric! Have fun deciding what to do. ---"Love"

  8. I'll take a peach block over an orange block any day!

  9. I'm with you. I don't have a lot of oranges in my stash and scraps. I believe peach will do beautifully. Love the pictures! Andrea

  10. I don't have a lot of orange fabric either. And, if you knew how big college football is in the town with the orange Tennessee Volunteers - you would know that it's almost sacrilegious that I don't have orange fabric!

  11. Orange is a color I haven't used often but I am starting to like it! Your oranges are such soft, pretty shades and they play well together. Great choices!
