I am determined to use as much of the fabric as I can, including the offcuts from the star blocks.
These blocks and others I've made will be used in the border. We had a long weekend so I had plenty of sewing time. Let's not discuss the housework that may or may not have been done.
I know this fabric style isn't fashionable anymore but I'm lovin' it! Hope you managed to squeeze some sewing or crafting into your weekend.
Who deems what is in fashion or not?? If you like it then it is perfect. I for one love the combination of the blue and pink fabrics with the brown. I love these fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is beautiful, who cares if some high-falutin' fancy pants decides it's "not in style any more"? Use what you like...it will come back in style again anyways! As for housework, I will be the LAST person to judge that category...

ReplyDeleteI don't listen too much to 'fashion'. I prefer to play with colors and fabrics I enjoy and that make me happy. Your pink and blues with brown sure are pretty. Love those combos.

ReplyDeleteI don't really worry about what's in fashion in the fabric world. I sew with what I like, and sometimes I don't know what I like until I see it in someone else's quilt. I love this combination. Housework always keeps. I hope you enjoyed your sewing time!
