Snowbound BOM - February 2010
Here's my little guy for February.
Inexplicably, he has a Bob Hope head - go figure. Just needs a pom pom for his hat.
I didn't appreciate when I started last year's Tisket-Tasket just how fiddly and time consuming these blocks would be. Now I do and make allowances.
It might explain why I dropped the ball on Tisket Tasket.
Anyhoo....
Here's a little something I have been working on for a friend.
I got to play with the Clover yo-yo and flower makers that were a gift from APQ Merritt some time ago. Thanks Merritt, I had a lot of fun with them.
Now it's time to make some blocks for the swap.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend with a little stitching amongst the chores.
Ann

Love your snowman - you picked great colors! Looking forward to seeing the blocks for the swap - keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteBoth projects are very cute. Do you like the yo-yo maker? I have one, but haven't gotten around to using it yet (very unlike me - I usually have it open on the way home and can hardly wait to get in the door and get at some fabric to try new things!). Someday...
ReplyDeleteThis snowman is just a s cute as January's. I'm sure you find the extra time and fiddling worth the effort. That little something for a friend looks lovely, very soft and feminine. -Joanne
ReplyDeleteLove the little Yo-Yo piece! Very pretty. I still haven't found fabric background for the Snowbound-print it out faithfully every month though. Once I find the background for it I'll get caught up. Hope it's cooling off some, the worst heat is at the end of summer when you are so tired of it!
ReplyDeleteCute Cute!! I love your little snowman. I found Feb much more fiddly than Jan. Very sweet bunch of flowers too. I really should get started on those blocks too. Are you going to make each one the same? Are you going to try and stay one month ahead? :) Christine
ReplyDeleteMust be a really good friend. That is lovely. And I like Bob, too! :) Theri
ReplyDeleteMr February looks so cute. It is so much fun to see how different everyone's looks. printed the instructions so I might try to catch up.
ReplyDeleteYour snowman is adorable. I have the fabric to start mine, but other things needed to be finished first. I hope to get caught up next month. The snowmen are so cute, I can't wait to get started. The project for your friend is so pretty, great "springy" colors. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The project for your friend is charming. The addition of the rick rack makes it perfect. Your snowmen make me want to try them too, but the reality of this long winter in the states is just enough to stop that thought! Your Bob Hope comment gave me a chuckle! Thanks for the tip for applique...Mary
ReplyDeleteHi Ann,
ReplyDeleteI love your yo yo basket of flowers. They are beautiful. Your little snowman is adorable. You just keep making one cute block after another.
Hugs,
Phyllis
What a pretty little one for your friend Ann!!! I didn't realize those snowmen were so fiddly...but it looks great!!! Have a wonderful week, Dzintra♥x
ReplyDeleteThis skiing snowman is so timely with the Winter Olympics! Your bouquet of yo-yo flowers and the decorative trim on your other project look so very pretty; the added dimension makes it a real eye catcher :)
