Merry Christmas to All

This has been quite a year and once again, work commitments ate into sewing time.  So I've got quite a few projects to finish in 2018.

Prepare yourselves for lots of boring posts of quilts under the machine foot!

At least I got the Christmas tree up this year - a new 7ft pre-lit job. Simple decorations. It makes me smile everything I flick the switch.

I planned to at least finish the top of the RSC 2017 Challenge Quilt - didn't quite make it.

Another border of background fabric (the creamy/white) and a scrappy binding so not too far off. I really enjoyed making this quilt and participating in the Challenge.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and lots of  sewing in the year ahead.

  1. I am never bored with looking at your quilts on the go, Ann. The Challenge quilt is looking lovely. Your tree is beautiful; all glowing and festive. May you and your loved ones have a wonderful Christmas and may you stitch to your heart's content in 2018!

  2. Lovely Quilt! You always do such wonderful work-while I have decided it's all about squares and rectangles and you do all those little triangles!

  3. The quilt looks great and I'd bet you're a lot further along than many! Mine is a top, ready for quilting, but first a family Christmas. Then the remainder of a 3-day weekend for meeeeeee! I love seeing your quilts in progress. The little teases make the reveal even better! And the year isn't over yet... there's still hope you get it done! (Are you going to participate in 2018? I've already got a pattern and a plan!)

  4. The quilt top looks finished to me! No one had to know that you planned a plain border to go along with the pieced one. :P

  5. Your quilt is going to be beautiful; in fact, it already is! You've gotten a lot more done in 2017 than I have; I haven't finished a single quilt! Well, I did finish that one little printed panel; that's all! Hopefully I'll get more done in 2018, and maybe finish some older projects! Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you! ---"Love"

  9. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Your RSC quilt is beautiful. I'm looking forward to seing it quited when you get to it. My RSC project is also lacking borders...and I'm not too sure how I am going to quilt this one. It's a bit big for my domestic machine setup, but I don't have a budget for sending it out for quilting. I'll have to ponder it a bit more.
