I don’t normally like working with stripes but it’s okay when they are used for binding.
All I need now is some cooler weather so I can sit with these on my lap and sew the binding down.
Summer has lingered this year with day time temperatures still in the high twenties. Autumn should be here soon. Right?
I love using strips for binding it always adds a bit to a quilt I think - but hard to work with in the patchwork itself unless it is in applique where you can control it better.
ReplyDeleteStripes make great bindings for sure. We're waiting for spring to arrive and stick around here in the northern hemisphere, so while the problem is opposite, I understand! Of course, the cooler weather means binding quilts is not as miserable...once you get the kitten to settle down instead of attacking everything, whether it moves or not...
