sprung

Spring came a month early and so the garden needed some attention.  It’s been really windy and warm or cold. The weather can’t seem to make up its mind. Oh,  and Tasmania pinched all the rain.  Pretty sure they would have a happily shared some as they’ve had an awful lot.

Now I can sew down the binding on the Arkansas Traveller quilt - my favourite part of making a quilt.

When it’s been too windy to work in the garden, the Granny Squares got some attention.

Still a quite a few more to make but having fun in the process.

unfinished

While searching for fabrics in the stash  to make the RSC blocks, I re-discovered some unfinished projects.

This one was put aside because the large blue squares just don’t look right and I couldn’t decide how to fix it. I think looking at it know, I’m going to remove them and make some more star blocks instead.

These are related but in this quilt top the big blue squares look okay.  More borders needed on this one.

This is the centre of a reproduction Civil War fabric quilt. The original pattern makes rather a large quilt and I stopped when I had a little anxiety about how I would manage to quilt it.

These are the blocks in the next border and they are meant to be pieced on point. Not sure if I will travel down that route but we’ll see.

These are a pieced top - there are more blocks but I haven’t yet found the right fabric for the border.

Plenty to keep me busy that’s for sure.
