While searching for fabrics in the stash to make the RSC blocks, I re-discovered some unfinished projects.
This one was put aside because the large blue squares just don’t look right and I couldn’t decide how to fix it. I think looking at it know, I’m going to remove them and make some more star blocks instead.
These are related but in this quilt top the big blue squares look okay. More borders needed on this one.
This is the centre of a reproduction Civil War fabric quilt. The original pattern makes rather a large quilt and I stopped when I had a little anxiety about how I would manage to quilt it.
These are a pieced top - there are more blocks but I haven’t yet found the right fabric for the border.
Plenty to keep me busy that’s for sure.
What a great selection of projects! Sometimes they need a time out until we can figure out how to fix them so we like them. Sounds like you have some great ideas. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's better not to go digging through the stash! But you've found some beautiful starts - maybe some applique in those big blank blue blocks? Something simple would do wonders and not take away from the rest of the quilt.
