More blocks finished for the charity quilt. These five all have a cream star print backing. The next four will have a black/tan star print backing.
I was lucky that there was exactly enough to cut the backings - usually you fall short.
Binding for the basket quilt is done too. Not a bad day's sewing really. It was wet and windy so plenty of incentive to stay inside.
Did it really snow in Arizona this week?

You sound like you've been stitching away! I'll look forward to seeing the finished quilts. I'm not sure about this week but Arizona gets snow in the mountains all the time, did it snow in Phoenix? That would be something to see! I know it snowed in Las Vegas-the hot desert!
ReplyDeleteThat stack of blocks looks so pretty! I love to see quilts stacked up. The roll of binding is wonderful, too. You are making progress, can't wait to see the finished quilt! Yes, Arizona did get snow, the pictures I saw of it looked so pretty with the cactus. Have a great week Ann!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when there's just enough backing, or batting? Those are going to make very nice and cozy quilts! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to stack up pieces of progress and see how far you've gotten? You're making great progress, as opposed to none over here...
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than a pretty jelly roll is a stack of quilts.!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are really sewing fast!
Great progress.
It is always nice when the backing is big enough for what you want it for! It seems that 9 times out of 10 it isn't.
ReplyDeleteThat stack looks like you've made good progress! And yep, definitely great when you have enough backing. It seems that whenever I do, I cut something wrong and mess it all up! As for snow in Arizona, I feel no sympathy for them. We get a LOT here in Michigan and take it in stride. It's the really cold windy days that get me.
ReplyDeleteNot much snow here this winter. My fingers are crossed 'cause we can get snow as late as May! Is that a wheel of binding? So pretty!
