I've broken my diet. The fabric diet that is. Didn't mean too but I saw the yardage in the quilt shop and ...well...
Funnily enough, I had seen these on the internet but the colours are even prettier in real life.
I would love to make this quilt with them.
Seriously baskets and stars! Two of my favourite blocks (you know I haven't stopped loving pinwheels right?).
I'll probably throw in a few extras for the background fabric and perhaps the large blue floral for the backing.
The finished size is about 46 inches square I think so I'm going to try and make it bigger.
Oh, yes! The fabric is lovely! And the quilt design is too. Good luck with all those HSTs & FGs!
ReplyDeleteLovely new project! Just the NAMES of the fabric make me love it! Strawberries, blueberries and chocolate-what's not to love. I'm headed out to a couple of new quilt shops on Tuesday, I hope to see some!
ReplyDeletehow could you resist? I mean really - it has chocolate in the name! Very pretty quilt.
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty. That quilt is beautiful! I am glad that you broke your diet for this fabric and pattern. I can hardlywait to see it in progress.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely fabrics, and I do love that pattern! You know I love stars, and flying geese as well! You do use Eleanor B's geese ruler, don't you? Looking forward to seeing your finish! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteNow that's a good diet to break Ann...at least it's not fattening!

ReplyDeleteLove the pattern , really beautiful! And glad to hear I'm not the only one who breaks a diet....occasionally!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that diets are easier to stick to if you allow yourself a treat once in a while :)
ReplyDeleteDiets are made to be broken! :-)
ReplyDeleteI did too...some Jo Morton fabs just jumped in my bag! That is a lovely quilt you are going to make up!
ReplyDeleteChocolate, strawberry & vanilla! What a great way to break a diet! Sometimes you just have to splurge a little!
ReplyDeleteLiri
46 INCHES? Yeah, I'd make it bigger too! But I love the colors and it's going to be a beautiful quilt. (I broke my fabric diet too, though until you mentioned it, I wasn't aware I was on one...) Please show us photos of how it's coming - we all love to share when one breaks a diet, right?
ReplyDeleteWow, those are gorgeous fabrics and the pattern is stunning! I can't wait to see your progress on this, I know it will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWho could blame you Ann!
