unexpected
These blocks have been tucked away for a while now as I had been playing with different layouts, trying to find one that appealed.
After the post about small projects and a table mat seen on the web, I sat and stitched these guys together.
I really like them now and you know, I might just keep going and make the lap quilt I always intended.

This is beautiful Ann! It's interesting how starting to actually sew blocks together can reinvigorate a project.

ReplyDeleteOo pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo red, white and blue! Could be like a seven sisters. A lap quilt would be lovely.

Lovely! It's good as is - or go for it and make it bigger!

ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome! I like your layout. Sometimes it takes a while to find a layout that speaks to you. I think you found a great one.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely Anne! Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love the contrast of the reds as a background - not a color one often thinks of as a background, but it's perfect. Good luck continuing it into a lap quilt - you can do it!
