It's cold. It's bleak. It's winter.
It's also the shortest day of the year for us.
Sitting with a quilt over my knees, needle and thread in hand and a hot cup of tea seems to be a good thing to do on a day like today.
This very special quilt is very close to being finished now. As soon as we get some sunshine for a decent photo, I promise to show you.
Happy Stitching.
It's the longest day here (of course) and summer is upon us - I just hope I can endure until fall. Thank God for A/C! (I know I'm weird). Isn't the world interesting? Can't wait to see the quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt's summer here, except for a few scattered spring rains that are causing severe and unusual flooding in areas of the DFW metroplex. We will likely be in the 90's all of the coming week. ---I think I see a tiny little hint of why your quilt is going to be very special to someone. Can hardly wait to see if I'm right. Stay warm! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteI think I know what this quilt is, too. I'm so excited to see it, can't wait for the big reveal. We are suppose to reach 100 degrees today and it was 99 yesterday. Going to be hot for a few more days, so glad for air conditioning. Enjoy your quilting time and snuggle under that quilt while you are doing it.
DeleteThere you go teasing us again! I'm sure it will be lovely and that the recipient will be thrilled. 90F's here with 98% humidity on this the longest day of the year. You stay warm, drink tea and enjoy a good stitching!
ReplyDeleteWe are burning up here! It is so hot, I hate to even go outside!
ReplyDeleteI'll trade you on the weather front! Can't wait to see the reveal. I hope to get one machine quilted this week (if the kids allow!).
ReplyDeleteQuilting is just the thing on a cold, wintry day isn't it, and a hot cuppa to enjoy whilst you stitch. As always you are teasing us all again.........
