These Arkansas Traveller blocks have been so much fun to make. I’ve used a jellyroll of Kansas Troubles Winter. The warm tones seemed like a good choice for a cold weather quilt to snuggle under.
There should be enough strips left over to sash the blocks. Not sure if the striped pattern strips from the roll will be sufficient to bind the quilt. We’ll have to wait and see. There are always options.
In the meantime, I’m looking for inspiration to use with these. Did I really buy this many precuts? It would appear so.
Your AT blocks look great.
ReplyDeleteWow! Lots of precuts! I hope you have a book with patterns for them. Have you seen Missouri Stars you-tube tutorials? They use precuts all the time. I hardly ever use them, except the 5" squares. I do have a 10" pack that someone gave me and I don't know what to do with it. BTW, I love your quilt pattern! I saw something that I liked and thought was the same in a Quiltmania magazine from 2011, but it is different. Thanks for your comment! I'm not criticizing your stack of precuts. I would not want to show you my fabric closet, after I have said over and over again that I don't need any more fabric so I will use up what I have instead of buying more, but my supply keeps getting bigger!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great! Those centers with all the points are hard to match, but you seem to be doing well with them - you must have more patience than I do. And holy lots of precuts. I'm sure you'll find more beautiful patterns to use them in time.
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks! I'm not much of a pre-cut girl myself but you should have fun with them!
