Bushfire Quilt Blocks

In a previous post I wrote about a lady named Tia who, along with her quilt guild and local school, are putting together quilts for folks affected by the recent bushfires in Victoria. You can read more about that here.

There has been a wonderful response to Tia's request and I would like to acknowledge Honeysuckle Cottage quilt shop for their support of this project. They have agreed to supply backing fabric.

I'll be making some more blocks during the week.

Happy Stitching

  1. Oh my Ann, they're gorgeous!! Makes me feel guilty that I've only managed to make 2.

I did read that batting and backing fabric had been donated, it's all so wonderful.

  7. Hi Ann Your blocks are wonderful.
What a great cause to support. What horrible suffering and loss there. I am sure it will help.

also I just wanted to let you know that I have added your blog on my site. I always thought it was there, because I added it long ago. I ususally just jump over from the comments to your site. I went to use the link and it wasn't there. I hope you will forgive the over sight on my part. I love your blog. I just wish I had more time to be on line. Although I can dress the kids from the dryer, makes it harder to feed them from the freezer. Hey they might forgive cereal too. Oh that would be going too far.
    Take care,
    Debra
