A window of opportunity opened this weekend and some time to stitch presented itself. Last weekend was spent making half square triangles (those small ones) so it was a treat to actually make a some blocks.
I'm trying to take care when pressing all these seams for a neater and less bulky finish. I'm also trying to be as random as I can but it's a struggle to keep from co-ordinating.
Three more of these will make a large block and I'll be halfway along!
I love your random blocks, Ann. It can sometimes be tricky to not co-ordinate everything, can't it.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be pretty, no matter what. Your neat seams make me ashamed of myself! Hope you can show us that first large block soon. ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteVery pretty fabrics and the pressing is so neat. I like scrappy but I find myself doing a more controlled scrappy. It is hard for me to let go and just pick up the next piece and stitch it in. Guess I need to feel some kind of control in what I am doing. Can't wait to see the finished block!
ReplyDeleteLooking great! Just keep sewing and in no time you'll have a quilt top!
